Wakizashi is a free WordPress theme designed by Marcello Brivio with filmmakers and video-producers in mind.
With a very simple and clean design, this theme is very easy to setup: you can create your own portfolio in minutes adding your videos hosted on the popular service Vimeo.
And by uploading a custom thumbnail image of your choice (yes, you won’t have to use the default still frames) you will generate the beautiful grid on the home page.
The video detail page offers a full-width embed and a flexible space for text description. Of course it has prominent sharing buttons to facilitate the distribution of your content on the major social networks.
A custom “Contacts” page allows you to easily integrate a big Google Maps embed showing your business location.
You can also create custom pages like this one, with an optional header image. There is also an alternative single-column page layout, if you prefer.
Wakizashi has a series of other features that will help you to fine-tune your website, such as idiot-proof Google Analytics integration, a good out-of-the-box SEO meta tagging and og:graph support.
